Mitchell Jeffs

I am currently a PhD student working in Dr. Lohans’ lab in the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Science. I received my BSc. Biochemistry from Carleton University in Ottawa. Currently my research focus is on the development and implementation of rapid diagnostic tests for the detection of beta-lactamase-producing bacteria. One of my ultimate goals is to work towards becoming a hospital/diagnostic lab director in clinical chemistry or microbiology. Outside of research I enjoy writing music, kayaking, and biking.
