Kristen Mawdsley

My name is Kristen, and I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Health Sciences student at Queen’s University. After taking MICR 271 and 290 with Dr. Lohans, I became very interested in infectious disease; particularly bacterial infections and mechanisms of antibiotic resistance. After volunteering with the lab in my third year, I am now completing my HSCI 598/99, studying the effects of D amino acids on the cell wall and beta-lactamase activity. Outside of academics, I like to go to the gym, read, and spend time with my housemates.
