Fianna McKnight

My name is Fianna, and I’m a first-year Master’s student in the Lohans Lab. Antibiotic resistance caught my interest after taking MICR290 in my second year, which led me to complete my HSCI598/599 thesis project in this lab! My current research is focused on the genetic mechanisms underlying the cefazolin inoculum effect in methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA). Outside of academics, I love reading, creative writing, and horror movies!
